UK Prime Minister and TURKISH President reacted to President buharis victory

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Theresa May and Turkish President, Tayyip Erdogan have finally reacted to the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The UK and Turkey representatives on Friday joined other world leaders in congratulating President Muhammadu Buhari on his victory in Feb. 23 presidential election.

The spokesman to President Buhari on media and publicity, Femi Adesina, revealed this to Naija News in Abuja.

Femi Adesina said the Nigerian president received separate telephone calls from May and Erdogan, congratulating him on his re-election and wishing the Nigerian people progress and prosperity in the second term of Buhari in office as Nigeria’s president.

In his reply and mood of appreciation, President Buhari thanked the two leaders for their support to Nigeria and her people. Buhari pledged commitment to continue working with them to advance various areas of cooperation.

Recall that the U.S., China and Russia had earlier congratulated Buhari on his re-election as Nigerian President. read more
